Hotel Revival, a Joie de Vivre hotel located in the heart of Baltimore’s historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, and Black Acres Roastery today announced a partnership to offer unique in-room coffee experiences from the Black-owned and Baltimore-based roaster. In addition, the hotel’s reimagined coffee shop ‘Dashery, slated to open in this spring, will also offer Black Acres Roastery coffee.
Hotel Revival Partners with Black Acres Roastery
“As a part of our continued efforts to amplify and engage with local and Black-owned businesses, we are excited to bring Black Acres Roastery’s uniquely crafted coffee experience directly to our guests,” said Revival General Manager Donte Johnson. “We look forward to continuing this collaborative effort and bringing guests specially curated coffee experiences from this dynamic local business.”
Hotel Revival’s rooms and suites now feature Black Acres Roastery single-serve steepable coffee bags providing the distinctive taste of fresh, artisan coffee to guests and the opportunity to support the locally and Black-owned business. These single-serve coffee pouches, which can be steeped in hot or cold water, are 100% biodegradable, and the outer packaging is made using renewable and compostable materials.
Black Acres Roastery is located in the Highlandtown district of Baltimore. By using ethically sourced beans and curating distinctive roasting profiles, the company aims to create a story with each cup of coffee.
“Our relationships – from producers to customers – makes us who we are. We believe that making time to engage with one another in meaningful ways is crucial for building relationships and growing communities,” said Black Acres Roastery CEO Travis Bell. “Today’s announcement is the beginning of a story we are excited to create and a relationship we are look forward to building upon.”
Speaking to what the future holds for this partnership, Johnson said “We are hoping to work with Travis and Black Acres Roastery to take this partnership to another level with the introduction of a unique in-room pour over coffee experience and the development of a custom Revival blend for our guests.” Pour over coffee is a rising trend in the artisanal coffee industry. Hotel Revival is one few hotels in the United States to offer this type of coffee experience.
